Teaser Vs Theatrical trailer

•Teaser trailer:
A teaser trailer in itself can be self-explanatory. It is created to tease the audience into seeing more and to want to watch the film. Generally the length of a teaser trailer is roughly around a minute and a half, however there have been teaser posters in the past that were 30 seconds long. In some cases the teaser trailer may have no speech over it at all to create more suspense. You tend to see teaser trailers being created by big budget films, as they have the funding to be able to create both a teaser trailer and a theatrical trailer unlike those with lower budgets. Positives of a teaser trailer is that it can be made very quickly with minimal scenes taken, therefore if anything, institutions can put word about their film out to the public way before the real filming takes places, giving them plenty of time to create a huge fan base.
•Theatrical trailer:
Theatrical trailers are roughly released before the release date of the film.  It tends to be created towards the end of filming for the film so the team that edit the trailer have as much footage as possible to play around with. These trailers last longer than teaser trailer by about a minute or so, so in total theatrical trailers can be anything from 2 and a half minutes to 3 minutes.

From this I came to a conclusion of deciding to create a teaser trailer. I feel that they are able to create the most suspense and excitement over a film as scenes are crammed up and just the right amount of information is presented. Less is more in my opinion and I feel creating a teaser trailer you have more options and versatility on what you want to do.
