Through the film titles I have seen, one being within the action/thriller category I have seen that typically the background is dark and the film title generally is in capital letters going horizontally across the page. In addition regardless of the film’s genre, all if not majority of
films include their film title in their trailer. This is because both the film title and production logo are key
and the most important features within the trailer to aid the advertisement of
their product. The film title design
needs to be memorable and stand out to allow the audience to remember the film
title to essentially make them watch the film.
The film title is shown towards the end of the trailer
in order to catch the audiences attention through the film content first, then
giving the title of the film after.
This leads me to my final version of my film title. I thought the font 'Impact' complimented my film well and looks similar to the font used for Taken. It is simple but effective. The way my film title is designed and positioned is similar to Battleship's and would say was my inspiration as it looked very eye catching yet simple. It also left me no reason to not remember the film name as it was the only think catching my attention with the bold capital font.
